The Cabin of Aphrodite is adorned with jewels and seashells. Over every bed is a mirror, and there is always a fragrant scent in the room. Over the entrance is a girdle emblem, and around it is more little seashells. Inside is a small statue of Aphrodite wearing her favorite evening gown.
Kristi walked into the cabin wearing jeans and a white t-shirt, a backpack slung over her shoulder. She had her eyes to the ground the whole time, not paying any attention to the statue of her mother. Kristi sat on the bottom bunk, scowling at the statue of her mother standing in the corner of the room.

(Hospital Wing)
ReplyDeleteMelody eventually grew bored of staring at the ceiling, so she quietly crept off the bed and out of the room.
She walked in a daze around the camp, looking at the many cabins. She spotted a glittering cabin adorned with seashells and jewels. "This is much prettier than the other ones. I'll just stay here."
Melody walked inside, peeking through the dim doorway. She spotted the same girl with short black hair that arrived with her. "Hi..."

Kristi widened her eyes. "Umm...Hey.....weren't you supposed to be resting?"

"So what? I got bored." Melody rolled her eyes. She stared at Krisi for a while looking her over.
ReplyDelete"Is that all that you have?" she asked, indicating to her backpack.
"Yea.."
"Such ugly clothes...." Melody thought to herself.
"What cabin is this supposed to be anyways?"

"The Aphrodite Cabin.....you know.....the children of Aphrodite..."

"Bryn. She's the captain of Camp Demigod. Why?" Kristi glanced at the bedside mirror beside her, wrinkling her nose. "Here," She handed Melody the mirror. "Do you want mine?"

Kristi let out a gasp. "Wh-what?? Is something wrong?" She couldn't read my mind, right? No one could....

"No. Nothing's wrong..." Melody paused.
ReplyDeleteThen she erupted in a loud scream/yell. "NO ONE HERE HAS A LIFE! I KNOW THAT WE'RE DEMIGODS AND BLAH BLAH BLAH, BUT SO WHAT?! WE CAN STILL LIVE NORMAL LIVES. JUST LIKE WHAT WE HAVE DONE THE PAST FEW YEARS! WHY CAN'T WE JUST GO BACK TO OUR OLD LIVES INSTEAD OF STAYING HERE IN THIS STUPID CAMP?!"
Melody wiped her now sweaty face and stared madly at Kristi.

"Sure. I'm an only child, my father died a few years ago, I don't have a step-mom, and I hate shopping and malls." Kristi stared at her older sister, challenge in every blink.

"Melody! Get back in the Hospital Wing NOW!" Ivy screamed. "HOW DARE YOU? DO YOU WANT TO HAVE A PUSSY, SWOLLEN, WOUNDED ARM?! I HEARD YOU SCREAMING SOMEWHERE AND FOLLOWED THE NOISE! QUIT SCREAMING AT KRISTI! SHE IS A VERY, NICE PERSON! YOU ARE JUST ACTING LIKE A SNOB! STOP!!!" Then Ivy grabbed Melody's hair and pulled her out of the cabin back to the hospital wing...
